Our abilities are gifts from God, entrusted to us for a purpose; they are to be stewarded for his glory by serving others. Many of us come to Grace Toronto with experience and skills (music, sports, technical, computers, construction, art, organization, management, etc.) that can be used to build up the church and help others. Whether you are brand new around here or a veteran, new to Christianity or a mature believer, there is a place for you to volunteer. We want to help you find a good fit– a way you can volunteer that matches your gifting and fulfills you. Below you’ll find a list of our immediate opportunities for service and current needs, but check out the various ministries at Grace too– there are many more opportunities to serve around here.

sunday operations

• Serving as an usher or in hospitality (coffee and snacks) is a vital role in the church as it helps create an undistracted and inviting place for the Sunday service.
• We are particularly short on volunteers in both ushering and hospitality for both AM and PM services, leaving our remaining volunteers overworked.
• Commitment: approximately 1 Sunday service per month.
• Contact: Bronwyn to get connected to the AM service team and Benissa for the PM service team.

children’s and nursery teams

• This is not just childcare! This is an opportunity to build into the next generation while serving the parents at Grace.
• Currently there exists 3 categories in the AM service: Infants’ Nursery (age 0-1), Toddlers’ Nursery (age 1-2), and Children’s Church (age 3-6). The PM service has a more simplified childcare for all ages.
• Commitment: approximately 1 Sunday service per month.
• Contact: For the AM Service, contact SooJeen for the Infants’ Nursery, Mari for the Toddlers’ Nursery, and Elizabeth for the Children’s Church. For the PM service, contact Priyanka to volunteer in the general childcare ministry (which combines all ages).

worship ministry

• We are looking for trained musicians (any instrument) with a heart to lead the congregation in musical worship.
• Commitment: approximately 1 Sunday (both services) every 4-6 weeks.
• Contact: Ian to get involved in worship.

sound ministry

• Looking for individuals with a good ear for sound to serve in this crucial capacity.
• Commitment: approximately 1 Sunday (both services) per 4-6 weeks.
• Contact: Ian if you are interested in serving in this capacity.

technical operations

• If you’re technically savvy, we have a spot for you! We’re looking for people to contribute to the Grace website and other technical projects.
• If you can program, have experience working with websites, or are a graphic designer, we’d love to have you on board in this very flexible role.
• Commitment: about an hour or two a week, but we’re flexible about when it happens
