Yonge Street Mission

For over 113 years Yonge Street Mission has reached out to people in Toronto who have faced the crisis of poverty.  Today’s Mission has evolved to become an agent of change in our community, offering foundations for permanent transformation in peoples’ lives.

We serve everyone who comes to us for assistance, regardless of age, colour, culture, economic status, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or social condition.

Here’s how the Grace community can get involved at YSM:

  • Get involved in one of the weekly youth drop-in centres as a mentor or tutor.
  • Volunteer as a healthcare worker at the Evergreen Drop-In Centre.
  • Help  serve a meal and fellowship with adults at the Agape Dinner.
  • Provide support to new immigrant families at the St. Jamestown site.
  • Help youth with computer literacy training.
