What a year we have had! In under a year, our attendance at Grace Downtown has risen from about 380 to just over 600 the past few weeks. The sanctuary is crowded; people are coming to faith monthly; 30-50 neighbours are walking into the building regularly to hear the gospel.

This is what we dreamed about when we bought the building; that it would be a Place for Grace in the heart of the city. God’s Spirit is moving; people are hungry for what only Jesus and the gospel can give them. Our prayers for this building are being answered.

Now we need to make room for these new people. Starting Sunday, January 27, 2019, we will be moving to two services: 9:30 and 11:15 am. Making room will mean making changes and sacrifices; some of us will need to arrive earlier than before; some of us later.

But one advantage is that all of us, even those who are serving on a Sunday morning will have an opportunity to attend the other service and soak in the gospel.

We thank you for being part of the journey so far. We thank you for helping us see God move in ways we could not have expected. We invite you to join us in this new stage in the adventure of making a place for grace in the heart of the city.

We encourage you to spend time praying for those in our city: that they would be hungry to hear the good news that Jesus is Lord of the city, the saviour and redeemer of the city. We long to see Jesus worshipped and cherished in every part of the city.
