PARENTS’ MINISTRY

FOR PARENTS

Deuteronomy 11:18-19 teaches us, “You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul ...You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

We believe that God has called parents to the vital task of discipling their children - to teach, talk, and walk the Gospel into their hearts. At the same time, Scripture makes clear that this is only made possible by parents first laying up the Word diligently in their own lives. Here at Grace Toronto, we’re committed to making space for parents to do just that.

We do this through Grace Gatherings, Life Groups, and Discipleship Groups, and you can find out more below!

We also offer unique fellowship opportunities for moms and dads that vary seasonally. You can email tarak@gracetoronto.ca if you’d like to learn more.

JOIN OUR LIFE GROUPS

We welcome all families, wherever you are in your journey of faith, whether you are curious about, or committed to Jesus Christ. We believe that the Gospel is for all people (Mt 28:19-20), and for all ages (Acts 2:39), and we’re committed to ensuring that it is passed on well to the next generation. Our Family Discipleship Ministry has three main components: Kids, Youth, and Parents.

MOM’S GROUP

TRAINING CHILDREN

Our GTKids and GTYouth programs are built around teaching the truths of the Christian faith to children in Nursery – Grade 12. We encourage our kids to examine the Gospel for themselves, practice it in their lives, and set it before a culture that desperately needs the good news of Jesus. You can learn more about GTKids and GTYouth below.

EQUIPPING PARENTS

We also have a deep commitment to our parents. We recognize that each of you are juggling various commitments, coping with many changes, and simply trying to do your best for your family. We think meeting together, sharing life, and praying together is necessary for a healthy family (Heb 10:24-25). That’s why we’ve created small groups, life groups, and other fellowship opportunities to enable you to meet and journey with others in your stage of life.

We’d also like to bless you with some gifts and resources as you take on this most important work of discipling your family. Please reach out to our Director of Family Discipleship or our Children’s Ministry Director if you have any questions.
